Our first televised match was against Liverpool in the UEFA Cup in July of 1997.

The Celtic Supporters Club in Philadelphia was founded in 1997 in Paddy Rooney's Pub in Havertown, Pennsylvania. Present that night were Bobby Campbell, James Conboy, and Paddy Rooney.

That small group was soon joined by Séamus Cummins, now our President, and the Molly Maguires CSC was beginning to take shape. Our first game was the Liverpool UEFA Cup match at Celtic Park and the Club was well and truly established.  John Gilhooley (Treasurer), Frank Donaghy (Merchandise), Gerry McConway (Vice President), and Stevie Lee (Sergeant-At-Arms), were recently added to the committee making sure that the Club is in good hands.

The Club prides itself in it's treatment of visitors from abroad and from CSC's here in North America. So, if you're in the neighborhood why not drop in for a pint or one of Paddy's Irish breakfasts. If it's good enough for Charlie and the Bhoys, you know it'll be good enough for you!

In the eight short years since those humble beginnings the club has been represented in Manhattan, Las Vegas, Boston, Quincy, Bramalea (Canada), as well as having a trip to Celtic Park itself.

It's been a magical ride so far, and with the present team doing wonderful things at home as well as in Europe, the future looks bright for both Celtic and the Molly Maguires CSC. We look forward to having you visit our club!

FAMOUS CELTS - Tommy Gemmell

Tommy is one of Celtic's greatest players ever. His brilliant strike in Lisbon gave Celtic the equalizing goal in the 1967 European Cup Final. Stevie Chalmers would later make it 2-1 and the rest is history...
